  1.                      Basic Program Information:
  2.      Transact is a copyrighted system.  It is a fully integrated customer
  3. data-base, invoicer, inventory contol, and accounts receivable management
  4. system designed especially for small service or product oriented businesses.
  5.  
  6.      Help screens like this are available most anytime by pressing <F1>.
  7. Mouse support is available, but load mouse driver before running TransAct.
  8. Main menu options are located at the top of the screen in the highlighted
  9. bar.  Press <cursor right> to highlight any option desired.
  10. To select any option once it is highlighted, simply press <Enter>.

  12.      All screens encountered in TransAct have on-screen prompts that list
  13. the available options and their appropriate key-presses.  Options are always
  14. available from pull-down menus, but many of these options are available at
  15. various levels of the program by pressing the associated speed key. These are
  16. usually function keys. The function keys are only active when prompts on the
  17. screen indicate those options. Pressing function keys except <F1> when they
  18. are not active can yield unpredictable results.

  20. Note: When typing data into main data-base records or inventory records, never
  21. use the shift key. Use lower case characters only. These will be converted
  22. to upper case as needed automatically by the system.
